Inspired by the ancient Black Walnut trees that shade their historic farmhouse down the road, Black Walnut Mercantile is a captivating concept space housed in the former 19th-century Delaware Hotel in charming Callicoon, New York. Conceived by the gentlemen behind The Farmhouse Project, the versatile shop features their exclusive handmade homewares collection, an inviting classic cocktail lounge, and restaurant space.
The Mercantile
Our exclusive homewares collection is inspired by the things that bring us joy and help us live thoughtfully and simply every day. Each item is carefully designed by The Farmhouse Project and handcrafted by us and our curated team of artisans in New York and across the US using locally sourced materials. We take a mindful approach to the design and production process to be as gentle on the earth as possible, infusing each product with our love for sustainable living.


The Restaurant & Lounge
Step into a world of Roman Clay walls, European murals, and grand tin ceilings, evoking the elegance of a Regency-era hotel lobby. Browse unique products, relax on antique sofas, or indulge in our inviting dining room and open kitchen, where Executive Chef and Co-owner Camille Rodriguez crafts enticing seasonal Mediterranean dishes.

Having left a career in the futures brokerage industry, SofiaJeffrey chose the path of cooking with the aspirations of traveling. However after finishing his studies at the Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago; he set out to first put in time in the best kitchens in Chicago began to hone his skills.
