French Butter Crock
Butter tastes better when safely stored at room temperature, and our French-inspired crock does the trick in style. (It’s so stylish, in fact, it was featured in Martha Stewart Living.) Fill the lid with butter, add a little water to the crock, replace the lid—and spread fresh, soft butter on toast, muffins, fresh-from-the-oven bread, or anything else you fancy. Hand thrown on a potter’s wheel, our butter crock is warm and earthy, thanks to a raw clay exterior. A smooth, white glaze on the inside adds polish. It looks fabulous alongside companion pieces from our Refined Country collection, but it plays well with a variety of styles. Stamped with our signature crest, our French butter crock is the ideal accompaniment to your every meal—from prep to table.
Our Refined Country collection was inspired by the discovery of antique, moss-covered terracotta pots in our vegetable garden. We loved their textural beauty and the rich history they represented. We collaborated with master ceramicist Nonna Hall of Nonneta’s Keramika to design pieces that hark back to the past while being practical and versatile enough for today.
We love the Refined Country collection because it’s true to our roots. It’s hand thrown and as far from factory-made as you can get. It has an honest, easygoing style that makes itself at home anywhere.

My fumble fingered spouse broke the butter crock we had, but this little gem is the perfect replacement (he has been warned not to mess with this one)! The outside finish is a perfect texture for a non-slip grip, and the color is earthy and wonderful. I’m almost glad the spouse broke our first one!

I broke my butter crock and found great reviews from Martha Stewart about the Farmhouse Project’s butter crock. I was not disappointed. Love the rough outside and smooth inside and it holds almost 2 sticks of butter. The personal note from Shawn and Kris was a nice touch. Looking forward to ordering more products in the future.
I love my butter crock. I had been searching for one for a while and decided to wait for the FarmHouse Project’s butter crock to be back in stock. And to say the least I am not disappointed. I love having soft butter and the esthetics on the counter top couldn’t be better!
I used to keep a stick of salted butter just out on the countertop until the dog ate about 3 sticks in a row. I knew I needed a better solution, and this butter crock certainly fits the bill. The construction is obviously high quality, not to mention that it looks great on my kitchen table. Would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys spreadable butter.

Beautiful crafted and sturdy. Perfect addition to our countertop. Love having spreadable real butter always available. The water seal makes this a great solution for the folks in the family who are worried about germs.
They were very communicative about a shipping delay, and I was very happy to receive the butter crock in one piece. They had packaged it well, and despite my anxiety about it traveling all the way to Alaska, it is now peacefully on my kitchen countertop. The handwritten note in a wax sealed envelope was a lovely touch as well. This was well worth the $50.
