Black Walnut Naturally Dyed Dinner Napkins
Embrace the art of sustainable entertaining. We teamed up with our dear friend Annie Cadden from Fisher Cat Fiber to add a bit of natural color to our napkins by dying them with black walnuts from our property. These gorgeous deep chocolate cloth napkins, made from stone-washed natural flax linen and printed with our signature monogram logo, are less wasteful than paper and look so much more elegant.
Eastern American Black Walnut, Juglans nigra
Our signature napkin color, dyed with walnuts gathered right from the trees on the farmhouse property. Walnuts are gathered in the summer and soaked in well water for weeks to create a dark liquid. The walnuts are then heated in the liquid to increase the dye potential. Later the walnuts are strained and the linens are added, creating warm shades of brown.
The beauty of screen printing and natural dying is that each napkin will have variations in color and shade.

Beautiful and beautifully packaged. ( Very festive red vlevet ribbob! I especially like the monogram, which I think distinguishes it from other cloth napkins. The color is lovely.
